"Make sure the thing you're living for is worth dying for."
-Charles Mayes
What does that mean to you? It means, to me, that I need to figure out what I am living for and kill it if it's not Jesus. Basically.
Does this make it wrong to live for family or children or dreams and hopes? Are they God's hopes, dreams, and ambitions for your life as well, or are they centered around your selfish nature and all that you want to make your life.
God says that He will give us the desires of our hearts, but if our hearts are with God and we want what He wants and we are staying forever close to Him and always consulting Him, than there are few worries to behold. Always keep Him close and know that the closer you are to Him, the more you will want what He wants for your life. Therefore, you won't have to worry about what your desires are because they will be the Lord's desires as well. Pursue, get it, and go.
